Hickory – Hairspray, the feel-good musical that everyone is raving about, has only three performances left before it’s gone. The remaining shows are this Thursday through Saturday (September 18-20) at 7:30pm at the Hickory Community Theatre.

Audiences have been raving on social media about the show. “Such talent and devotion in a production that is so demanding– and with superlative results. The show is suitable for ages 10 and up. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students/youth 18 & under, available at hickorytheatre.org or 828-328-2283. Hairspray is produced in association with MoreRon Productions.

Theatre Education – Audition Class

Thinking about auditioning for an upcoming show at HCT? Join us for the first free audition workshop of Season 77! This workshop will discuss casting breakdowns, strategies to ease your audition anxiety, uncovering what directors are actually looking for, and how to deal with rejection. Students will also practice cold reading and receive feedback. Let us help you put your best face forward so you can book your next role! Additionally, we will discuss the upcoming auditions for HCT’s production of Hangmen by Martin McDonagh, which will take place on September 22nd and 23rd.
