Hickory – Join the library as we learn about local entrepreneurs and artists who are turning their passions into livelihoods and transforming their talents and skills into lives well-crafted.
On January 17 at 6:00 p.m., we will be visiting Carolina Crafted. Located within the Harris Arcade, in downtown Hickory, Carolina Crafted started as a side hustle out of Amanda and Anthony Gaglia’s garage. The Gaglia’s dreamed big and expanded as direct result of interest in their candles and rustic signs. However, they have not left their “Made in North Carolina” roots as each candle is crafted by Anthony and new products are tried and tested in their home.
Join the library for this interactive field trip where each individual will get to make their own 4 oz candle, learn the process of candle making, and get to hear first-hand from Mr. Gaglia about his business.
We’ll meet at Carolina Crafted located at 221 1st Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601. All materials are provided but space is limited so please register at https://www.hickorync.gov/calendar/events/category/library. This program is for all ages.
