Morganton, NC – Come play in the streets at the 40th annual Morganton Festival in downtown Morganton, North Carolina. The festival features free music each evening, Kid Zone fun with rides and games, food for all ages, plus arts and crafts vendors!
This year’s event is more compact with one stage and more space to gather, eat and be entertained. It’s been three years since the last Morganton Festival so you can expect a few changes. While we are thrilled to get together once again and celebrate in downtown Morganton, the footprint will be a little smaller.
The full event kicks off on Friday, September 9 at noon with a variety of craft vendors lining South Sterling and East Union Streets offering a plethora of art, jewelry, woodworking, pottery, soap, home goods and more! Be sure to come hungry because the mouth-watering Food Fest Court will tempt your taste buds with the aromas of gyros, egg rolls, homemade ice cream and much, much more.
The ever popular Kids Zone will open at 2:00pm with ticketed rides and games. Then in the evening, enjoy the music performances from 20 Ride and Crawford & Power!
Start your Saturday morning at 8:00am with a 5K or 10K by participating in the Sunrise Run on the Greenway. The Student Fitness Challenge and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 9:30am. And after your fitness session, head to the Festival where booths open back up at 9:00am. Catch local performances on the stage at noon, grab a bite to eat, and keep shopping until the evening performances with Kasey Tyndall and Ryan Perry!!
