Conover, NC – Neighbors Network is excited to announce the Grand Opening of Neighbors Rides, a new transportation program designed to provide safe, reliable, and friendly curb-to-curb transportation for adults 50+ and individuals with disabilities.
The celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd at 12:00pm at Neighbors Network, 502 Thornburg Drive NE, Conover. The community is invited to join us for refreshments, a ribbon cutting, and to learn more about how Neighbors Rides can make a difference in the lives of local residents.
Neighbors Rides offers both Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) and Non-Medical Transportation, giving passengers the freedom to travel to medical appointments, pick up groceries or prescriptions, shopping, or attend day trips.
“Our goal is to help people remain independent, active, and connected,” said Jordan McCray, Transportation Director. “Reliable transportation is one of the biggest barriers to aging in place, and Neighbors Rides is here to help remove that barrier.”
All drivers are carefully screened for safety and experience, and vehicles are ADA-approved and wheelchair accessible. Regular vehicle maintenance ensures that every ride is safe and dependable.
Neighbors Rides is a program of Neighbors Network, a nonprofit organization committed to providing resources, services, and transportation that enable adults 50+ to “Thrive in Community.”
