Seinfeld: The Complete Series (1989-1998) All nine seasons of the ever-popular NBC sitcom are making their 4K and Blu Ray debuts this week in separate sets. No new extras but archival bonus material has been retained along with the newly remastered episodes.
The Talk of the Town (1942) A schoolteacher finds herself being courted by both an escaped prisoner and a law professor in this romantic comedy from George Stevens now making its 4K debut.
Arrow:
Demolition Man (1993) The futuristic actioner starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes comes to the 4K format this week in a limited edition that is chock full of new bonus material.
Scream/Shout Factory:
The Holdovers (2023) The multi-Oscar nominee from last year makes its 4K debut in this new set which includes a few new extras.
Other new 4K upgrades from the label this week include Ron Howard’s Far and Away (1992) and the Miramax horror entry, The Faculty (1998). Both releases include new bonus material.
Golden Harvest Volume 2 (1973-1998) is another collection of films from the studio that launched the career of Jackie Chan. Titles include Beach of the War Gods, When Taekwondo Strikes, The Skyhawk, Slaughter in San Francisco, Shaolin Boxer, Legacy of Rage, and The Master and Hitman.
Paramount:
Transformers One (2024) The latest entry in the Transformers franchise-an animated effort-comes to Blu Ray and 4K this week as well with a few new featurettes.
Warner Brothers:
Joker: Folie a Deux (2024) The critically derided and financially unsuccessful follow up to the Oscar winning 2019 film comes to both 4K and Blu Ray formats as well this week. A few new extras are included.
Kino:
New releases from the label this week include the supernatural submarine thriller, Below (2002) and the romantic comedy, For Love or Money (1963). Both include new audio commentaries.
Warner Archive:
The Searchers (1956) The label launches its first ever 4K release with this classic western starring John Wayne. All of the previously issued bonus material has been retained.
Other new Blu Ray releases from the label this week include Here’s Flash Casey (1937), The Tall Target (1951), Mr. Lucky (1943) and Nora Prentiss (1947).
Criterion:
Eastern Condors (1987) A group of Asian convicts attempt to make a rescue mission in Vietnam in this actioner. The release includes a few new extras.
Lionsgate:
New 4K releases from the label this week include new steelbook editions of The Conversation (1974) and Stir of Echoes (1999).
Radiance Films:
Yokohama BJ Blues (1981) A down on his luck private eye is forced to clear his name, after being pinned for the murder of his friend, in this Asian thriller now coming to Blu Ray for the first time.
