Now In Theaters:
Snow White – Walt Disney Studios continues to cannibalize its own vault of animated classics with the release of this live action adaption of the 1937 film, larding up the original film’s run time from a brisk 83 minutes to a bloated 109 minutes with the addition of new songs.

Filmmaker Fred Dekker’s beloved horror entry, Night of the Creeps (1986), makes its 4K UHD leap this week in a new edition that retains the extras found in the Blu-Ray release from several years back.
Criterion:
Night Moves (1975) The highly regarded thriller, which stars the late Gene Hackman as a PI attempting to unravel the case of a missing girl, makes the 4K UHD transition as well. There are quite a few new extras here which include a commentary and archival and new interviews.
Severin:
Antiviral (2012) A man tries to unravel the details of woman’s death before he succumbs to a virus in Brandon Cronenberg’s thriller now in the 4K format. Extras include commentaries, deleted scenes and featurettes.
Delicatessen (1991) A butcher hires and kills a succession of handymen in this thriller co-directed by Jean Pierre Jeunet (Amelie). Extras include a making of doc, interviews and commentary.
Fear in the Philippines: The Complete Blood Island Films (1959-71) Between 1959 and 1971, Filipino filmmakers Eddie Romero and Gerry de Leon unleashed this monsters-and-mayhem quartet that remains among the most deliriously schlocky horror classics of all time. Films included are Terror is a Man, Brides of Blood, Mad Doctor of Blood Island and Beast of Blood. Extras include commentary and interviews.
Arrow:
Lucio Fulci’s horror effort, Don’t Torture a Duckling (1972), concerning a series of murders that may or may not be the result of a witch, comes to Blu-Ray with a copious number of extras, which includes commentary, video essays and interviews.
Kino:
Diary of a Chambermaid (1964) Jeanne Moreau is the title character, contending with a decadent family and the murder of a child, in Luis Bunuel’s satire now on Blu-Ray. Extras include a commentary and interview.
Bobbi Jo and the Outlaw (1976) stars Marjoe Gortner and Linda Carter as lovers who turn to life a crime. The film, now getting a Blu-Ray release, was widely noted due to Carter’s disrobing in the film prior to her getting the role of Wonder Woman. Extras include a new commentary.
Other releases from the label are a 4K release of the cult comedy, Black Sheep (1996), a Blu-Ray release of the 3-D film, The Glass Web (1953) and Blu-Ray releases of the French noir, Hi-Jack Highway (1955) and the futuristic sci-fi entry, The 10th Victim (1965). All include new commentaries.
Blue Underground:
Venom (1982) is a horror entry concerning a kidnapper and hostages being terrorized by a deadly Black Mamba snake in a house. The film starring Oliver Reed, Klaus Kinski and Oliver Reed comes to 4k in a stunning new restoration with lots of extras.
Paramount:
Another cult comedy starring the late Chris Farley, Tommy Boy (1995), is getting the 4K treatment as well.
Warner Archive:
The label is really busy this week with Blu-Ray releases of several Monogram Pictures films entitled, Monogram Matinee: Volume 1 (1949), the complete series release of The Magilla Gorilla Show (1964-67), the Blaxploitation entry, Hit Man (1972), the TV film from the creator of Star Trek, Earth II (1971), the drama, Sadie Mckee (1934) and the silent film that Rudolph Valentino a star, The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse (1921).
88 Films:
Two films from the legendary Hong Kong studio, Shaw Brothers, are also debuting on Blu-Ray this week. They are The Lady is the Boss (1983) and Hong Kong Hong Kong (1983).
