Sony:

Body Double (1984) The classic thriller from Brian DePalma finally gets its long overdue 4K UHD makeover this week while also retaining previously issued bonus materials.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024) The fifth entry in the series gets a 4K and Blu-Ray edition this week with a few new featurettes.

 

Arrow:

Friday the 13th (2009) Marcus Nispel’s remake/reimagining of the 80s horror staple comes to 4K for the first time in this new release. Bonus materials include two cuts of the film, commentaries, booklet, interviews, featurettes and two cuts of the film.

The Threat (1966) A man and his family find themselves forced to do something questionable to get out of a hostage situation in this Japanese thriller now on Blu-Ray. Extras include commentary, video appreciation, trailers and image gallery.

American Horror Project: Volume 2 (1970-77) is another Blu-Ray collection of obscure horror from the label. Titles include Dark August, Dream No Evil and The Child. There are copious amounts of bonus material as well.

 

Warner Archive:

New Blu-Ray releases from the label this week include Journey into Fear (1943), Conflict (1945), A Prairie Home Companion (2006), Jonny’s Golden Quest/Jonny Quest Vs. the Cyber Insects (1993-95), I Remember Mama (1948) and Bathing Beauty (1944).

 

Criterion:

 Happiness (1998) Todd Solondz’s portrait of an assorted group of interconnected characters searching for the film’s elusive title comes to 4K for the first time ever with a terrific new transfer and new interviews.

Greg Araki’s Teen Apocalypse Trilogy (1993-97) is a new set containing three of the director’s films and featuring new bonus materials.

 

Kino Lorber:

Murder on the Orient Express (1974) Sidney Lumet’s Oscar winning adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel comes to 4K for the first time and includes a new commentary as well as archival bonus materials.

The Ladykillers (1955) Alec Guinness leads the cast in this classic British comedy about a group of men plotting a robbery while posing as musicians. The first time ever 4K edition of the film includes commentaries, documentaries, featurettes and trailer.

Other releases from the label this week include Botany Bay (1953), Below the Belt (1980), Red Mountain (1951) and My Favorite Spy (1941).

 

88 Films:

The Shadow Boxing (1979) A pair of undertakers who use magic to transport bodies are at the center of this Hong Kong import debuting on Blu-Ray.

 

Radiance Films:

A Man on his Knees (1979) A crime witness finds himself on a Mafia hit list in this Italian import now on Blu-Ray. Extras include new and archival interviews.

Tattooed Life (1965) Two brothers escape to Manchuria after murdering an assassin. This Blu-Ray edition includes commentary and newly edited archival interviews.
