Hickory – Olde Hickory Tap Room on Thanksgiving night has been a music tradition in Hickory for over 20 years. A tradition that sees musicians from Hickory and the surrounding area join together to play music for the over stuffed Thanksgiving masses. For close to ten years Moose & Friends have led this Thanksgiving Jam.
In 2018, the band chose to use the show as an opportunity to collect goods for the Hickory Soup Kitchen. This year the HSK has asked the Thanksgiving Jam patrons to help with the specific need of donating canned fruits and vegetables to help fill their pantry. Being that fresh fruits and vegetables are not readily available in the winter season, canned fruits and vegetables are used daily to help feed the HSK clients.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, join Moose & Friends in helping the HSK by bringing canned fruits and vegetables to the Olde Hickory Tap Room on Thanksgiving night, located at 222 Union Square in downtown Hickory. Donations will start being collected at 8pm with the show starting at 9pm.
