Hickory – At 3:00 pm on Sunday June 30, 2024, the members of Hartzell Memorial and McQueen Chapel United Methodist Charge will hold an appreciation service in honor of Pastor Cassandra R. Rawls at Hartzell Church, 465 S. Center Street, Hickory, NC.
Rev. Rawls has served Hartzell Memorial in Hickory and McQueen Chapel in Conover since 2017. During those seven years, while furthering her education in the ministry, she has been highly active in the communities of Hickory, Conover and Newton as well as church ministry. Cassandra’s educational pursuits have included studies at Pfeiffer University (Charlotte Campus), Wesley Theological Seminary, and Union Presbyterian Seminary, Charlotte, NC, from which she earned a M.Div. degree.
Planners of this event consider Cassandra’s accomplishments to be well worth this recognition. Her family, friends, colleagues and admirers are invited to come and celebrate with her as she leaves Hickory to accept a new pastoral appointment in the Winston Salem area.
