Hickory — Step aboard two ships. One carries the magical Starstuff, which can fulfill your wildest dreams. An ambitious villain seeks to harness its power, while a nameless orphan rises to become Peter Pan, navigating daring escapes, clever schemes and unexpected alliances. With 14 actors portraying several characters, Peter and the Starcatcher brings theatrical magic to life, Feb. 26–March 1.
“This production is a celebration of imagination and collaboration,” said Lindsay Weitkamp, Ph.D., professor of theatre and director of the Playmakers. “From the inventive stagecraft to the ensemble storytelling, our students are bringing a story to life that’s full of adventure. We can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”
Adapted for the stage by Rick Elice from the best-selling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, this inventive production features music by Wayne Barker and is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
