Conover, NC – Neighbors Network, Inc. will host the annual Prime of Life Health & Lifestyle Expo on Thursday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Highland Recreation Center. Admission to the Prime of Life Expo is FREE, and the event is open to the public. The community-wide event is designed for adults 50+, their families, caregivers, and anyone interested in living a healthy, active, and independent life.
This year’s Expo brings a Western-themed twist to a day filled with information, activities, demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with local businesses and organizations serving the 50+ community.
With over 30 vendors already participating and additional vendors expected, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of health, wellness, financial, home, lifestyle, senior living, transportation, and community resources—all in one convenient location.
“The Prime of Life Expo is much more than handing out information,” said Rik Covalinski, Executive Director of Neighbors Network. “It’s an opportunity for people to discover resources, meet the people behind those resources, try something new, and have a great time with their neighbors. We want people to leave feeling informed, connected, and excited about what’s possible in the prime of their lives.”
Free Breakout Sessions
The Expo will also feature a variety of free educational and interactive breakout sessions throughout the day. Topics and activities will provide attendees with practical information, demonstrations, and opportunities to learn something new.
Among the featured activities will be Hatha Chair Yoga with Hamp Shuford III, beginning at 11 a.m. The Expo will also feature free hearing assessments from HearingLife, Line Dancing, Zumba Gold, and the Lions Club Vision Trailer, giving attendees convenient opportunities to learn more about their hearing and vision health.
