Hickory – Foothills Faith and Friendship, a Hickory-based young adult Christian group, invites western North Carolina young adults–and all people–to “Summer Slushies and Scripture” at Glenn Hilton Park in Hickory on Friday, July 22, at 7 pm.
The group welcomes the public to a gathering that will include shared snacks and faith-based fellowship around brief seasonal scripture reflection.
Started in 2019 as a social ministry for young adults in the community to share faith and fellowship, the group has grown to include all people who want to make new friends or share in the company of others, especially during holidays.
People of all ages and faiths are welcome to attend on Friday, July 22, at 7 pm. Bringing a friend is encouraged. The group will meet at the picnic tables closest to the main parking lot at 2000 6th St., NW, Hickory.
In the event of rain or inclement weather, call or text organizer Aaron Kohrs at 828-578-2732 or message group leader Quintin Knight via the group’s Facebook page for the address of the nearby alternate event location.
