Hickory – Pamela Livingstone, the Hickory Community Theatre’s Artistic Director, has just announced the casting for Ragtime the Musical. Based on the acclaimed novel by E.L. Doctorow, this powerful show will be on stage in the Jeffers Theatre from May 11th through the 27th.
In the principal roles are Allison Andrews as Mother, Kayla Ferguson as Sarah, Donovan Harper as Colehouse Walker, Jr., and J. David Ingle as Tateh.
The supporting and ensemble roles are played by Steve Austin, John Bates, Thomas Belk, Mason Burr, Cristin Cartwright, Tiffany Christian, Sierra Doyle-Rios, James Grose, Kaylyn Hall, Kayla Harper, Juan Holguin, Tylan James, Dennis Kevitt, Emma Lee Kurts, Ella May, Lucas Packard, Jairo Pereira, Shawn Philips, Angelina Prendergast, Jordan Randall, Shania Robbs, Jordan Smith, Loren Statema, Auguste Theilemann, Justin Thomas, Jack Verner and Kathryn Whalen.
Like the novel on which it is based, Ragtime the Musical follows the lives of a family of upper-class WASPs, an African-American couple and some Eastern-European Jewish immigrants intersect as they try to make a success in America.
