Hickory – CSC presents its annual Summer Fun Science Camp, including 11 weeks of hands-on science day camps for youth in grades first to rising ninth. Summer Fun Science Camp features small classes taught by certified teachers and trained assistants, with high-quality programming and interaction with CSC exhibits.
Choose from one, two, or multiple weeks of exciting and fun-filled SciFun classes, with weekly themes designed for specific age groups – first to rising ninth graders! Listed in the brochure are the classes offered and their prices, camp rules and policies, and the registration forms.
Summer Fun SciFun Classes
Pre-K – 9th Grade
Monday – Friday, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Choose from 11 weeks of exciting and fun-filled science classes designed for specific age groups. Each week features a different class theme. Cost varies by week and topic.
Sunrise Science
Pre-K – 9th Grade
Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 10:00am
Available for 4-year-olds to rising ninth-graders. Supervised independent learning experiences, science related games, and exhibit visits before CSC opens to the public!
Afternoon Adventures
1st – 9th Grade
Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 5:30 pm
Supervised activities include indoor and outdoor games, scavenger hunts, and themed parties. Enrolled participants may go on field trips to great local attractions: swim at YMCA, watch movies at Carolina Theatre, take walks at City of Hickory parks, have story time at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library (young campers), and bowl at Pin Station (older campers).
