Lenoir, NC – The Caldwell Arts Council announces a new exhibition titled “Remote Work,” featuring paintings by Karen Parker of Statesville, North Carolina. The exhibition will open June 3, 2022 and continues through July 24, 2022.
A North Carolina native, Karen has been making art for over 40 years, receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from UNC Greensboro, and her Masters of Fine Arts from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Her work relies on classical masters for a foundation in realistic draftsmanship, accurate use of color and exquisite composition, yet each piece deftly incorporates modern themes and subjects.
A prolific artist, Karen has been exhibiting her work nationally and internationally for over 30 years with paintings included in corporate, public and private collections in U.S. and worldwide; with her last international sale going to Japan.
