Hickory – The young actors of the Hickory Community Theatre’s RugBug Theatre are hard at work on their latest play, Snazzy Razzy Never Gets What She Wants. Performances begin on Saturday, May 4 at 2:30pm.
RugBug Theatre plays are presented for young audiences, ages 2-10 in the HCT Council Chambers Theatre. The kids get to sit on the rug, down in front of the action. Parents may join them or take the chairs behind them. The actors are also young people, ages 7-14.
The story revolves around a girl nicknamed Razzy and her brother Obelisk who, with their friends, have pirate adventures and become Kings, Queens, Dukes and Princesses — all in the vacant lot next door.
Razzy is contrary and frequently expresses her dislike by saying “I never get what I want!”
Performances of Snazzy Razzy Never Gets What She Wants are on Saturdays (May 4 & 11) at 2:30 and 4pm and Sunday (May 5) at 2:30 and 4pm. Tickets are $6 at the door and seating is general admission.
