Hickory – After an opening weekend with sold out crowds, Robert Askins’ Tony-nominated smash hit, Hand to God returns to the stage in the Firemen’s Kitchen at the Hickory Community Theatre. This hilarious, high-octane, dark comedy proves that coping with grief and loss is a messy business. A foul-mouthed, possibly possessed sock puppet drives a grieving mother and son to the edge, turning the trauma narrative on its head with biting wit and shocking humor. Yet at its core, this irreverent comedy explores our deepest demons with profound heart, chaotic energy, and unforgettable laughter. Tickets are rapidly disappearing, so get yours now.

Performances of Hand to God are Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 23–31 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students 18 and over.
