Hickory – “Step Into Spring” at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. Presented by the Friends of Hickory Public Library, the book sale features a large variety of hardback and paperback books for just $1.
“At just a buck a book, bring the family and stock up,” says Rochelle Walton, president of the Friends board. “We have a huge selection, including many large print books, and need to clear our storeroom at the library to make space for the hundreds of books that readers generously donate to us throughout the year.”
Proceeds from the book sale are used to fund library activities like the kid’s bookmark contest, the summer reading program, and programs throughout the year featuring guest artists and musicians.
