Drive on over to the Morganton Community House on Thursday, March 9th, from 11:00am to 1:30pm to join the Downtown Development Association inside for the 29th Annual ACC Chili Cook Off! It’s time for restaurants, amateurs and businesses to get back in the kitchen and cook up their award winning chili recipes! While basketball teams are battling it out on the court, chili chefs will be battling it out in the community house for that top coveted spot as the crowning chili chef! Do you make a mean chili? We want you to enter! You love chili? We want you to come, eat and judge!
The Cook-Off features over a dozen chili recipes to sample, a place for friends to relax, and all the excitement of the ACC Basketball Tournament under one roof!
A bargain priced $7.00 ticket buys all-you-can-eat chili with ALL the fixin’s: cornbread, salad, desert and drink! Can’t dine in? You can get your meal to go.

If you have a chili recipe that you think is on fire, we encourage you to enter into the competition by March 3rd. Amateur entry forms are available at https://www.downtownmorganton.com/main-street/page/acc-chili-cook-2023. On the day of the event, simply bring your crock-pot of chili to the Morganton Community House between 7:30am and 9:00am Thursday, March 9th. Spicy, vegetarian and all other types welcome. Prizes given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners! ALL restaurants are welcomed to join the action as the commercial division of the Chili Cook-Off includes bragging rights of “The BEST chili in town”!
