Newton, NC – Auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at The Green Room Community Theatre will be held on Tuesday, October 6th and Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 pm at the Green Room Outreach Workshop- also known as the GROW building.
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas!
This production will be directed by Ashley West- Davis with Sarah Kate Pedraza as stage manager. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. The director is looking to cast adults and children ages 8 and up. All ethnicities, identities, and abilities are encouraged to audition.
Performers must be available for all scheduled performances on November 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, December 4, 5, 6, 2026, as well as school shows on November 24th, December 2nd, and 3rd. Attendance at all tech rehearsals the week prior to opening is mandatory unless an exception is approved by the director in advance. Please bring a list of any rehearsal conflicts to auditions.
