Newton, NC – The Baker’s Dozen and JR Baker’s Dozen are fundraising societies at The Corner Table that inducts the community’s most dynamic and inspiring women and young women – women who believe in making a difference – and empowers them to act on that belief in a fulfilling and measurable way each year.

Nominees will help make a lasting impact by raising funds and awareness over the course of a nine month campaign. At the close of the 2024 campaign in December, the Honorees of the Baker’s Dozen and JR Baker’s Dozen societies will be honored during a dinner; an awards presentation to recognize each Honoree’s achievements, announce the Commit to Serve award winner, and name the 2024 Baker and JR Baker of the Year.

The Baker’s Dozen Women’s Society launched in 2018 and has raised more than $300,000 for our mission to feed men, women, and children in our community. The JR Baker’s Dozen Young Women’s Society was started in 2021 as a spin-off to the Baker’s Dozen Society to give young women the same opportunity to make a difference. Over the past three years, the JR Baker’s have raised more than $108,000 towards our programs.
