Newton, NC – The Green Room Community Theatre is excited to announce the cast for its upcoming production of “Moana Jr.,” opening Jan. 17. This musical adaptation of the Disney animated film features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, with a book adapted by Susan Soon He Stanton. The show is directed and choreographed by Jana Sales, with Ava Miller as music director and Paulie Sales and Bethany Spears as stage managers.
“Moana Jr.” tells the story of a young girl who embarks on an epic journey to save her people. Along the way, she discovers her true calling and forms an unexpected bond with the demigod Maui. Filled with memorable songs and exciting dance numbers, this production is designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
Performances are scheduled for Jan. 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31 and Feb. 1 and 2. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
