Newton, NC — The Green Room Community Theatre is proud to present Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years, opening next Friday, March 27. Based on the bestselling book by Sarah L. Delany and A. Elizabeth Delany, this powerful play brings to life the remarkable true story of two sisters who witnessed a century of American history.

Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years invites audiences into the home of Bessie and Sadie Delany as they share memories of family, perseverance, and the challenges and triumphs of their long lives. Filled with warmth, humor and wisdom, this moving production celebrates sisterhood, resilience and the importance of telling your story.

The production is directed by Corlis Hayes, with Jordan Spears as stage manager. This project was supported by Arts Culture Catawba through the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
