TinkerCAD 2-Part Series: Succulent Planters
Part 1: Thurs. | August 3 | 6-7 p.m.
Part 2: Thurs. | August 10 | 6-7 p.m.
Teen & Adult – This two-part series combines technology and plants! In part one, learn basic 3D modeling using TinkerCAD to create a succulent planter which will then be 3D printed. In part two, prep your planter, choose a succulent to plant, and learn basic succulent care. Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event. A Hickory Public Library card is required to register.

LED Embroidery

Teens – Learn the basics of embroidery and make your favorite constellation come to life in this awesome mashup of embroidery and tech! You will embroider a constellation of your choice and then add LED lights to make it glow. Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event. A Hickory Public Library card is required to register.

Tiny Tech: Robots
Sat. | August 12 | 10-11:30 a.m.
Ages 7+ – Learn all about robots! Some featured favorites include the Ozobots and Dash & Dot robots. Learn how to code these different bots to change colors, follow paths, or even make silly sounds! No registration is required.

Random Fandom: Retro Gaming
Mon. | August 21 | 5-6:30 p.m
All Ages 7+ – Experience a blast from the past with Random Fandom: Retro Gaming. Play games like Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Zelda, and more on retro consoles, use Makey-Makeys to play online games, create fun pixel art, and more! Registration is required and will open three weeks before the event.
