Scream (2022) The fifth installment in the venerable franchise-and first without the guiding hand of the first four films, director Wes Craven-is easily the least of the batch. Screenwriters James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick attempt to bridge the gaps between the previous entries in this latest installment as a new killer stalks the daughter of one of the characters from the original film. Scream devotees, however, will want to see what the ruckus is about. Extras include commentary, featurettes and deleted scenes.
Soapdish (1991) Sally Field stars as a conniving soap star attempting to sabotage the career of her co-star in this terrific comedy from director Michael Hoffman making its Blu Ray debut this week.
Let it Ride (1989) Richard Dreyfus is a cab driver with an itch for gambling who gets in over his head in this film making its hi def debut. Ill received during its original release, this has received a reappraisal in the years since.
Sony:
Parallel Mothers (2022) Pedro Almodovar’s latest, the Oscar nominated tale of two women embracing motherhood for the first time, whose lives become entwined by chance, proves the veteran filmmaker still has some creative octane in the tank. Penelope Cruz, with whom the filmmaker has collaborated multiple times, turns in another solid performance in a film that keeps the audience guessing where it’s headed right up until the final stretch.

CSI Vegas: Season One (2021) All ten episodes of the first season of the series have been issued this week. The ten-disc set includes featurettes and deleted scenes.
Arrow:
The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter (1984) One of the final efforts from Hong Kong’s famed Shaw Brothers Studio is a Kung Fu actioner concerning a warrior turned monk seeking vengeance against those who killed his family. Extras include a tribute to the film’s late star, interviews, featurettes and trailer.
