Bethlehem, NC — First Responders have been working double time for the past six months keeping citizens safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Vault will salute them and their courageous efforts on Saturday, September 26, beginning at noon and continuing until dark on the corner of NC 127 and Rink Dam Road in Bethlehem.
The First Responders Celebration is supported by many Alexander County businesses. Bethlehem ACE Hardware plans to bring their famous Ironwood Traeger grills to cook the hot dogs and hamburgers donated by Mays Meats and Performance Foods. The Village Inn Pizza truck will be on site. Plus, the normal food and beverage menu in The Vault.
The festivities will be filled with live music on an outdoor stage. The Bigfandamily Band begins playing at noon, Ten-Eighteen plays at 3pm, and Interruption at 5:30pm. DJ Chris Byers spins from the indoor stage at 7:30pm.
Kids are welcome. They will be able to explore an Alexander County Sheriff’s car and a Bethlehem Fire Truck during the celebration.
During the merriment, donations will be accepted to help Avery, seven years of age, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in July. Avery has been handling the chemotherapy treatments like a trooper. She is in the second grade yet will not be able to attend school this year due to her illness. The Vault hopes the community will support her in her time of need. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Avery.
The event is free and open to the public. Join us on September 26 to salute our First Responders!
