Hickory – The City of Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department announces the following operational updates:
Highland Recreation Center is now open for free play basketball. For a calendar of open gym times, please visit https://www.hickorync.gov/calendar/events/category/open_gym/.
Starting on June 5, Highland Recreation Center will expand its weekend hours to be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
On June 1, Neill Clark Recreation Center will reopen to the public and will operate Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also beginning on June 1, Brown Penn Recreation Center will reopen to youth ages 15 and under. The center will operate Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
