Hiddenite, NC – In conjunction with the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Veterans Exhibit, a complementary Veterans breakfast will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 8:30am on the grounds of the Lucas Mansion which is FREE and open to ALL Veterans who are currently serving or who have served in ANY branch of the military. Following the breakfast on July 13th at 8:30am, the public is invited to a reception honoring Veterans at 10:00am. This reception is free and open to the public to honor and meet those who have served. Refreshments will be served. The public is encouraged to visit the Lucas Mansion Art Gallery to view and experience the depth of sacrifices made by servicemen and wormen which include personal, heartfelt momentos, letters, photographs, and even a casket shipping container all on loan from Alexander County Veterans.
The Breakfast & Reception are co-sponsored by the Carolina Emerald Chapter of DAR (Daughters of The American Revolution).The Veterans Exhibit is made possible through the Alexander County Veterans Committee (VETCOM) that consists of the DAV Chapter #84, VFW Post 5466, and the American Legion Post 170.
