Lenoir, NC – The Western Piedmont Symphony presents “A Down Home Christmas” under the direction of Maestro Matthew Troy. This concert is part of the Foothills Pops Series, and the symphony will perform Christmas classics and seasonal favorites for the entire family. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. on December 4, 2021 at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center.
This 2021 holiday season, join the Western Piedmont Symphony in this new tradition. The Western Piedmont symphony will be joined by performers from Hickory Ballet and Performing Arts, showcasing select scenes from Tchaikovsky’s famous “Nutcracker”. Santa Claus will make a special live appearance to delight both young and old.
Our guest artist Julia Rose Woodward is a soprano on the rise, who may be seen performing around the Charlotte area in various “pop-up” concerts with Opera Carolina. In addition, she may be seen virtually with Opera Xpress as Marla the Koala in Abrazo de Oso, a new bilingual children’s opera by Anna Young.
