The Guest Speaker is Jean Bolton, the author of Praying Through Pliés, Rhonda “Jean” Bolton, is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience. She also has a certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing, and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of North Carolina for over 20 years.
Praying Through Pliés is her true and inspiring journey of living for decades with the chronic disease lupus, and then surviving a devastating and disabling neurotoxic reaction to the fluoroquinolone antibiotic, Levaquin, in June of 2015. With a strong focus on nutrition, exercise, sleep, relaxation and stress management, the main focus in Praying Through Pliés is on the transformative and healing power of faith, gratitude, and the quality of one’s thoughts.
She and her husband Stan share three children, five grandchildren, and a cat, Boo. She has studied ballet since the age of five, was a competitive swimmer and swim team coach, and enjoys playing the piano and traveling.
