Hickory – Mark your calendars, ladies! The Women’s Resource centers next Inspiring Women’s lunch is Tuesday, July 12 at noon. The speaker will be Michele B. Hewitt. Hewitt has a B.A. Sociology, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Professor Hewitt is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Crossroads Counseling Center and an adjunct professor of Psychology at Lenoir-Rhyne University. She has over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings, including local school systems and non-profit agencies. She considers all her work an opportunity to serve others. Michele is passionate about helping people move beyond their past and present experiences to live genuine, fulfilling, healed lives on their own terms. Michele has used her personal experiences as a young, single mother and widow to inspire others to honor the sacred space that is their own while using adversity as fuel for growth. In between providing therapy services and teaching, Michele serves Women’s Resource Center as the facilitator of their emotional support group. She also serves as a board member for a local organization. Michele’s greatest joy is spending time with her family.
