This event will benefit Hickory Branch NAACP’s education initiative: justice in education. Through this initiative, the branch awards thousands of dollars in scholarships annually to high school graduates, offers mentoring services to students of select elementary and middle schools, and offers leadership development experiences to junior and high school students. Such support is very necessary to help improve performance and boost educational justice for students as they progress through and leave Hickory Schools.
