Newton, NC – Join Western Piedmont Symphony for our fun, free, Summer Pops concert, 8-10pm, Sunday, August 12, on the square in downtown Newton to kick off The Old Solders Reunion Week!
The award-winning Western Piedmont Symphony, conducted by Maestro John Gordon Ross, will perform patriotic marches, Broadway show tunes, TV & movie themes, light classical favorites and a salute to our military. Artists of SELEM (Southeastern Laser Enthusiasts Meeting) will be providing a laser light show to accompany the music on the second half of the program.
Invite your family & friends, bring your lawn chairs, visit the downtown establishments, and enjoy refreshments from local vendors.
