Hickory – The Hickory Branch NAACP is accepting scholarship applications from local eligible students. This year, we will award three scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000!
Applications are currently available at local high school guidance offices, Morning Star First Baptist Church, Hartzell Memorial UMC, Patrick Beaver Memorial Library, Ridgeview Branch Library, and Ridgeview Recreation Center. They must be submitted by US mail and postmarked by April 19, 2024. Applicants will be notified of decisions after May 10, 2024.
In order to be eligible, students must be graduating this spring/summer from an accredited high school located in Catawba County, North Carolina. Students must also be accepted into a two- or four-year college or university. We encourage all eligible high school seniors to apply!
