Hickory – The League of Women Voters of Catawba Valley (LWVCV) will host a Meet the Candidates event in Hickory ahead of the November general election.  The event will be held on Monday, September 30, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridgeview Recreation Center, 115 7th Ave SW, Hickory.

The event is a collaboration with the Hickory Chapter and Catawba County Chapter of the NAACP. This event is free and nonpartisan and is open to the public.

 Meet the Candidates is a casual and easy way to speak one-on-one with candidates. The candidates will be located around a large room and have tables with their materials on them. Attendees can visit with candidates in any order to have the chance to ask questions and hear their answers.

Candidates in contested races for local and state offices representing Catawba County have been invited.
