Hickory – On October 1 at 7:30 p.m. in P.E. Monroe Auditorium, the Lenoir-Rhyne Wind Ensemble and the Lenoir-Rhyne Wind Symphony will present their first program of the 2024-2025 season, “Skyward!” Music featured will include works by acclaimed composers Robert Sheldon, H. Walford Davies, Lisa DeSpain, Katahj Copley and John Prescott – all inspired by humans’ awe of the heavens and quest to take flight.

“I am so excited to share the stage with the musicians for the first time at Lenoir-Rhyne University! We look forward to presenting engaging and creative concerts for the community around Hickory,” said Tyler Stark, DMA, director of bands and assistant professor of music.

The concert is free and open to the public.
