Valdese, NC – Valdese Plein Air Fest 2025 will be held Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21. The registration fee is $35 per participant. Register now, before the event fills up at rockschoolartgalleries.com or valdesepleinairfest.com.
This event features prize money for 1st , 2nd, 3rd, and People’s Choice, a wet sale and a reception. The event is in its third year, drawing participants from in and out-of-state.
The Town of Valdese is recognized by the State of North Carolina as a Main Street Community, with charming and unique storefronts. Main Street, Myra’s, the renovated Old Rock School, the beautiful Waldensian Presbyterian Church and Fountain, Waldensian Museum, nearby McGalliard Falls, The Trail of Faith, and Valdese Lakeside Park are just a few of the many options for Plein Air landscape and special interest paintings. There are a variety of restaurants for a wonderful breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Key dates information:
Friday, September 19, 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday, September 20, 9 am to Noon at the Old Rock School, Artist check-in and canvas stamping.
Friday and Saturday: Painting Days (artists must check-in and paint only on stamped canvases).
Saturday, September 20, 5 pm deadline for turning in all paintings at Old Rock School.
Sunday, September 21, 2 pm to 4 pm, Reception, awards, and wet paint sale at Old Rock School.
