Mount Ulla, NC — Patterson Farm Market & Tours will debut its first-ever Pick-Your-Own Tulip experience in Spring 2026. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the colorful fields and hand-select fresh tulips directly from the farm, creating their own bouquet while enjoying the beauty of spring in the countryside.
Tulips picked during the experience are sold by the stem. Visitors can select as many flowers as they like while walking through the field and will pay based on the total number of stems they harvest.
In addition to visiting the tulip field, visitors can select to join in on Spring Fun on the Farm. Visit PawPaw Carl’s Playground that has over 40 activities, hangout in the Agmagination area to experience the interactive agriculture career pretend play station, visit the barnyard animals, and stop by the Market and Ice Cream Shop for fresh farm produce and treats. On weekends, enjoy the wagon ride, cow barrell train ride, mega drop slide, paintball, goat fishing, and gem mining.
The Tulip Festival is expected start on March 13 and last around 2 weeks. Because tulip season is short and dependent on crops and weather conditions, visitors are encouraged to follow Patterson Farm’s website and social media channels for bloom updates, event dates, and additional details.
