Catawba County, NC – The Catawba Valley Paralegal Association (CVPA) will host a seminar entitled “Ethics and the Law,” presented by John A. Bermingham, Esq., Associate General Counsel for Breckenridge Pharmaceutical, Inc. Mr. Bermingham provides general legal, corporate, commercial, promotional review and regulatory support relating to transactional and product development for oncology and ophthalmology products. In addition, Bermingham is an adjunct professor at several universities and has received numerous accolades, including Southern New Hampshire University’s Outstanding Educator 2024.
The presentation will focus on the law and the ethical issues that arise when laws provide a certain outcome that may not be fair, ethical or necessarily the “right thing.” The program will include analysis and debate of key Constitutional and State Court Cases that deal with ethical issues outside of the law.
The presentation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM via Zoom. To sign up for the presentation and receive the Zoom link, please send a request to lhayden@phd-law.com. The presentation is one hour in length. The program is open to the general public and there is no fee for the general public to attend.
The seminar has been approved for one hour of general continuing education credit. Certified paralegals who are not CVPA members and wish to receive credit for this CPE will be charged a $25 certification fee.
