Valdese, NC – It is time to prepare your entry or entries for Rock School Arts Foundation’s 39th Annual Open Art Competition/Exhibition. The exhibit for this competition opens July 31st and closes on August 28th. Entries can be viewed Online from July 31st to Sept 11th.
Opening Day is August 8th. This is also the date for the Waldensian Festival in beautiful Valdese, NC.

Looking for a cool place to show your talent and artwork?
Rock School Art Foundation has a place for you on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the Waldensian Room in the Old Rock School.
The fee for this event is $30.00. Each artist will be given an 8ft. table.
The Foundation is looking for artists wanting an opportunity to sell their artwork and hopefully want to showcase their talent through demonstration.
Artists will be part of the opening of the 39th Open Art Competition Exhibit and the Historic Valdese Waldensian Festival.
The Foundation will have a booth downtown to help direct people to the Old Rock School.
The hours for this event will be Saturday, August 8 from 9am – 4pm. Set-up will take place prior to 9 am. If Friday becomes available for set-up artists will be notified.
Deadline is July31, 2026, to secure your spot.
