NOW IN THEATERS:
Minions and Monsters – The seventh (!) entry in this seemingly never-ending series concerns itself with a story about how the Minions conquered Hollywood. Animated masterpiece or a cynical and cliched cash grab with no excuse to exist other than to milk the series completely dry? Audiences will make the ultimate decision.
Also, in theaters for those interested is a faith-based take on the early years in the life and times of our country’s first president, Young Washington, timed to release on the occasion of America’s 250th birthday.

The Elephant Man (1980) David Lynch’s Oscar nominated and critically acclaimed take on the tragic life of John Merrick makes its 4K debut, the Blu Ray having been out of print for several years. The previously issued bonus materials have been retained with nothing new of note added.
Shout Factory:
Roger Donaldson’s remake of the fondly remembered 1972 action film, The Getaway (1994), gets a Blu Ray reissue with little in the way of new bonus content, save for a new commentary track.
Also being issued by the label is a new 4K release of Tim Burton’s poorly received, big screen take on the 60s soap, Dark Shadows (2012). The steelbook release includes the archival bonus materials from the previous Blu Ray.
Other Blu Ray reissues from the label this week include the sequel, The Crow: Salvation (2000), the Charles Bronson starrer, The Evil That Men Do (1984) and the Tom Berenger and Billy Dee Williams vehicle, Fear City (1984), directed by Abel Ferrara.
Alliance:
The dramatization of a real-life hostage case that transpired in 1977, Dead Man’s Wire (2026), directed by Gus Van Sant and starring Bill Skarsgard, Colman Domingo and Al Pacino, makes its Blu Ray debut this week from the label.
Also being issued on Blu Ray from the label this week is the documentary, Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror (2025). No details on bonus materials are available.

The Drama (2026) The tale of a couple whose impending nuptials are put to the test when a dark secret is revealed makes its physical media debut in both 4K and Blu Ray formats this week with a few new bonus materials. One of the better films to receive a theatrical release this year.
Film Masters:
The label is issuing on Blu Ray a new upgrade of the Shirley Temple chestnut, The Little Princess (1939), a film that’s long been in the public domain.
