Newton, NC — Centro Latino and the City of Newton are joining forces for the first time to present the 5th Annual Todos Somos América | We Are All America Festival, a family-friendly celebration honoring Hispanic Heritage Month and recognizing the diversity, cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of the Latino community in our region.
The festival will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Downtown Newton. The celebration is free and open to the public.
Todos Somos América invites people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy an afternoon filled with music.
The festival will feature:
Food and handcrafted products from different Latin American countries
Face painting, piñatas, and children’s activities
Colorful traditional dance performances from different countries
Food trucks
Two mobile DJs featuring Latin music
Quinceañera parade and contest
Recognition of the Outstanding Latino of Catawba County
Presentation of the Abriendo Puertas Scholarships
Presentation of the Centro Latino 2026 Community Ally Award
Community Invitation
Attendees are encouraged to celebrate their heritage by wearing a shirt or traditional attire representing their favorite Latin American country. Guests are also encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the event comfortably.
Attendees may also want to bring cash for purchasing food and merchandise from vendors.
Pet Policy: While we love our furry friends, for safety and event management purposes, only service animals will be permitted.

Centro Latino y la Ciudad de Newton se unen por primera vez para presentar el 5.º Festival Todos Somos América | We Are All America Festival, una celebración familiar que conmemora el Mes de la Herencia Hispana y reconoce la diversidad, cultura, tradiciones, historias y contribuciones de la comunidad latinoamericana en nuestra región. Entrega del Premio al Mejor Aliado de Centro Latino 2026
Invitación a la comunidad Se invita a los asistentes a participar y celebrar sus raíces vistiendo la camiseta o traje típico de su país latinoamericano favorito. Se recomienda llevar una silla o manta para disfrutar cómodamente del evento. Los asistentes también deben considerar llevar efectivo para la compra de alimentos y productos de los vendedores.
Nota sobre mascotas: Aunque amamos a las mascotas, por razones de seguridad y organización del evento, solo se permitirán animales de servicio.
