Hickory – On Sat., Oct. 28, from 1 – 3 p.m., the Democratic Women of Catawba County will hold its traditional Adult Spelling Bee at the Brookford Community Building at 1700 S. Center St., Hickory.
Teams of 4 will compete in front of a live audience in a last-team-standing format to see who are the best spellers. The winning team will receive a prize, with audience members voting for the additional titles of “Best Team Name” and “Best Team Costume”.
Admission is $10 for spectators, or $25 for players ($100 per team). There will be beverages and snacks, and audience members are encouraged to come in their Halloween best. Join us for this fun-filled event!
