Hickory – Full Circle Arts presents an intriguing new art competition/exhibition called My Favorite Song. The show opens Thursday, September 17, in conjunction with the Hickory Downtown Development Association Art Crawl.
Artists were asked to consider what music inspired them, then create a visual artwork interpreting that musical piece. Over 50 artworks have been entered in the competition.
During the reception, most of the inspiring songs can be heard on a special playlist created for My Favorite Song.
Full Circle Arts is co-hosting the Art Crawl kick-off with Trade Alley Art, which has recently reopened. Festivities on the 17th begin at 5:00 and continue to 8:00. Awards will be announced about 7:00. My Favorite Song will be on display Sept 17 – Oct. 24, 2026.
