Newton, NC – This is your chance to step into the spotlight! The Green Room Community Theatre is holding auditions for the upcoming production of A Streetcar Named Desire, a show playing in the intimate Black Box Theatre at The Old Post Office Playhouse.
We’re on the search for talented men and women. A Streetcar Named Desire is directed by William Morgan, who recently played the role of Sweeney Todd in this season’s opening musical.
Auditions will be held on November 20 & 21, 2017 at 7pm, at the Old Post Office Playhouse, located at 10 South Main Avenue, Newton, NC 28658. Please enter at the lower level door at the back of the building (on South Ashe Avenue).
You do not need to perform a monologue for this audition. You will be asked to read from the actual script.
Actors must be available for all performances: DATES- Jan. 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 2018 & School Performances on Jan. 12 & 26, 2018. There is a snow date of Jan. 23, 2018, if needed.
