Lincolnton, NC – It’s that time of year to begin thinking about Easter Egg Hunts. On Sunday, April 13th (Palm Sunday), Boger City United Methodist Church, (known as the Pumpkin Church) located at 2320 East Main Street in Lincolnton, across from Village Inn Pizza,  has scheduled their Easter Egg Hunt. Join us for activities/fun, snacks, egg hunt, and prizes. Everyone is welcome!

Parent’s remind your children to bring a Easter basket, bag or small bucket to collect your eggs. Parents/guardians are encouraged  to stay with their younger children.

HOLY WEEK  APRIL 17TH THROUGH APRIL 20TH

The purpose of Holy Week is to reenact, relive, and participate in the passion of Jesus Christ. Holy Week commemorates Jesus’ last days and crucifixion. It is the final week of Lent and begins on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. Holy Week is a time when Christians gather to  remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ.

On Thursday, April 17th,  Boger City United Methodist Church, located at 2320 East Main Street in Lincolnton, will hold their Maundy Thursday service at 7:00 p.m. in their sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Maundy Thursday, also known as “Holy Thursday,” is the Thursday of Passion Week, one day before Good Friday (the Friday before Easter). Maundy Thursday is the name given to the day on which Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples. It was also the day of His betrayal and arrest. Maundy Thursday commemorates the actions of Jesus associated with the Last Supper.

On Friday, April 18th , Boger City United Methodist Church, located at 2320 East Main Street in Lincolnton, will hold their Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m. in their sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Good Friday worship service is a solemn reminder of the sacrificial love demonstrated through Jesus’ death. It is a day for Christians to commemorate the passion and death of Jesus Christ. The service invites Christians to reflect on the suffering Christ went through for our sake by sacrificing his life for our sins. On this day, Christians gather to remember Jesus our Savior who loved us and gave himself for us. The service is a time to pray, repent, and remember Jesus’ death on the cross.

On Sunday, April 20th, Boger City United Methodist Church, located at 2320 East Main Street in Lincolnton, will hold their Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 A.M. on their front lawn near their Bell Tower. Immediately following this service, BCUMC Men will serving breakfast in their Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend and stay for Sunday School at 9:30 A.M.  and worship at 10:30 A.M.

Easter Sunrise services are held on Easter Sunday morning to worship the resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, April 20th, Boger City United Methodist Church will hold their Easter Worship  Service at 10:30 A.M. in their sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to attend.
