Boone, NC – Summer’s best annual arts event is almost here! An Appalachian Summer Festival’s 35th anniversary season kicks off on Saturday, June 29, with pianist, singer-songwriter, and North Carolina native Ben Folds and the Winston-Salem Symphony opening the festival with an unforgettable evening of genre-bending music at Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts. Concert starts at 8:00pm.
The 2019 schedule features a diverse mix of music, dance, theatre, visual arts and film events, attracting more than 27,000 visitors to the High Country each summer is available at appsummer.org.
The Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts is located at 733 Rivers Street on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Box office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (EST) with special extended hours through the month of July.
