Hickory – Full Circle Arts invites artists to enter their work in its Open Competition, an exhibition open to everyone in the area. There is no specific theme for this show. Artists are encouraged to bring their best work, whatever the subject or medium.
Days for entering are March 26, 27, 28, at Full Circle Arts gallery.
There will be $600 in prizes.
The judge is Samantha Oleschuk, an arts leader, a professional on aging, writer, and creative aging specialist. She works for the High Country County on Governments, is Editor-in-Chief of the Cultural Voice of North Carolina and pursues freelance writing and projects in art criticism, creative aging, and exhibitions. Samantha holds a BA in Art and Visual Culture, concentrating in Art Management, from Appalachian State University.
The art will be on display April 16 to May 16.
FCA is a non-profit artists’ cooperative located in downtown Hickory, 42-B Third Street NW. Hours currently are Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
