Newton, NC – The March meeting of the Catawba County Branch NAACP will be on Sunday, Mar. 9th, 2025, at 4:00pm at Mt. Olin AME Zion Church, 2583 Smyre Farm Rd., Newton. The topic will be Foster Care.

“Any door can open a house, only a special door can open a future!” The Children’s Homes of Iredell County, Inc., envisions a community where child abuse is not tolerated, and all children flourish in loving, nurturing homes dedicated to their growth and healing from trauma. Their vision is to empower children to move forward toward a more productive and healthy future. Guest speaker, Jean Foster, CHIC’s Director of Development, believes strongly in the impact children have on the future and will share how we all can provide them with the stability they need to thrive.

Members and their guests, as well as the general public, are welcome. You can sign up for membership at the meeting.

The NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. The Catawba County Branch meets on the second Sunday of each month.
