Handmade Holidays: Sewing Food Carriers with Creativebug

Get ready for holiday gatherings by learning to sew a simple food carrier! This guided program utilizes The Learning Lab’s sewing machines and the Library’s digital resource, Creativebug! All experience levels are welcome.

Handmade Holidays: Needle Felting Ornament Diffuser

OH, the comforting scents of Christmas! Create a felted ornament diffuser by needle felting. Needle felting is a crafting technique that involves repeatedly poking a needle into a piece of wool in order to stiffen and shape it into the desired form.

Drop by The Learning Lab anytime between 3p.m. and 6:30p.m. to create a personalized scrapbook. Use The Learning Lab’s book binding machine, Cricut Maker 3, and various materials to make it all come together. Then, use it to record your favorite recipes, memories, drawings, and more!

Handmade Holidays: Doodle 3D Cookie Cutters

Turn your doodles into cookies! Get creative making a simple drawing and then learn how to transform your art into cookie cutters with the library’s Toybox 3D Printer. Cookie cutters will be printed by library staff and can be picked up the following week.

Learn the difference between buttercream and royal icing, how to make sure your cookies keep their shape in the oven, and tricks for leveling up your holiday cookie decorations! Each participant will leave with a box of their decorated cookies. Registration is required and opens three weeks before the event.
